Jorge Luis Seco was born June 9 1949 in Havana, Cuba. He studied in the University of Havana before being granted permission to travel to Spain in 1979.
He resided in Spain, the country of his paternal grandparents for a year before traveling to US and taken permanent residency. Live in New York for a few years and later move to New Jersey.
In 1995 he was recognized by the Círculo de Escritores y Poetas Iberoamericanos (CEPI) for his work in poetry. In 1996 he published his first novel, “Donde tú eres mi sol.” The novel received wide acclaim in both Spain and Mexico as well in the US Spanish press.
It wasn´t until 1998 that it was published in English as “The Only Sun I Need”
On 2001 published a poems book bilingal ” Desde la otra orilla” “From the other shore” On 2002 he published his second novel “Cuba:solo para turistas” In December 2011 present his new bilingal book “Pensamientos para sentirnos mejor” “Thoughts to make us feel better”
